FÜRSION OFFICS, S.7.1.
5th May, 1932.
I had the honour to inform Mr.Tsuneo Matsudaira in
my note No.F 3175/2087/23 of the 9th April that I was
consulting the competent authorities of His Majesty'a
Government in the matter of the proposed direct wireless
telegraph service between Hongkong and Japan which was raised in lis Excellency's note No.49 of April 4th.
2. I have now been informed that it is anticipated
that the Hongkong "ireless Service will shortly be transferred by the Government of llongkong to Imperial and International Communications Limited. In these
circumstances, His Majesty's Government in the United
Kingdom feel that it would be more convenient if any
negotiations having new services in view were conducted
with the company when the transfer has been completod.
I have the honour to be,
with high consideration,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
(For the Cecretary of State)
Renzo Sawada,
